Community Futures Development Corporations are federally funded. In the west, this funding is through Western Economic Diversification Canada.

There are Community Futures offices throughout Western Canada. Community Futures of the Pacific Northwest serves the communities of Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Hartley Bay, Kitkatla, Oona River, Dodge Cove, Lax Kw'alaams and Metlakatla.

Community Futures Pacific Northwest is pleased to offer a variety of services to the Northcoast region. The mission statement of Community Futures Pacific Northwest is:
"To actively contribute to building a diversified and sustainable economy for the Pacific Northwest through entrepreneurial development and participation in Regional Economic Planning."

Community Futures offers lending of amounts between $5,000.00 and $150,000.00 to eligible clients who have had their business loan applications refused at the bank.Click here for Audited financial statements for Community Futures Pacific Northwest.

In addition to the primary focus of helping entrepreneurs through our lending services, we also have a business resource centre available to members of the general public at no cost. The resource centre includes a variety of print materials, including a small library and two internet ready computers.
